CGB Programs Help Students Gain Skills on Summer Break

How did you spend your summer vacation? Students working with Maryland Smith’s Center for Global Business have an impressive answer for that question. CGB offered two programs this summer to allow students to develop their professional skills and build work experience, ultimately helping them to build their resumes and gain a competitive advantage in their future careers. Join the Center for Global Business for a discussion with three experts from the International Finance Corporation, Inter-American Development Bank, and Brookings about economic disparities exacerbated by the global pandemic and nongovernmental efforts and opportunities to address the growing crisis in the developing world.

Join the Center for Global Business for the first Distinguished Speakers in International Business Series of the academic year. The center and executive director Rebecca Bellinger will host a live podcast with The Trade Guys, where trade experts Scott Miller and Bill Reinsch of the Center for Strategic and International Studies break down the buzz around trade, how it affects policy, and how it impacts your day-to-day.

Join CGB during International Education Week (IEW) for Passion for Diversity Dialogue Series: Black and Abroad, an event on Thursday, November 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. The event focuses on Black and African American alumni and their experiences working and traveling abroad. After a brief panel, students and alumni will move to a roundtable discussion led by alumni and student leaders.
