‘Maryland Business Adapts’ Examines, Celebrates Exporters’ Pandemic Resiliency

Prior to COVID-19, United Source One had experienced multiple "near deaths," according to President and CEO Michael Imgarten of the exporter that specializes in supplying premium beef and other food products to high-end restaurants. By June 2020, exports were down 95%. Even when the global economy came to a halt due to COVID-19, business still carried on across borders. In Maryland, five companies found innovative ways to weather the storm. Now, they’re sharing their learnings with others.

The Center for Global Business is recognizing Maryland companies that persevered through the pandemic with its Maryland Business Adapts 20/21 initiative. Learn more.
