Students in the University of Maryland’s Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) honors program are used to making an impact. As part of QUEST’s highly selective, reality-based learning program, they participate in courses focused on quality management, process improvement, and system design.

A group of MBA students from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business traveled to New York City to attend the 5th Annual Asian MBA Leadership Conference and Career Exposition Forum, September 19 – 21, 2013, at the Hilton NYC. The Asian MBA Conference attracted over 2,500 top Asian students (both undergrad and graduate level), professionals, and Fortune 500 employers such as IBM, GE, P&G, Facebook, Wells Fargo, and Kimberley-Clark.

This summer, academic experts and business leaders from 28 countries gathered in Taiwan for the 22nd annual Frontiers in Service Conference, sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Service (CES) at the University of Maryland, College Park.

The 5th annual conference on complexity in business will be held in downtown Washington, DC on November 7 and 8, 2013.  This conference, sponsored by the Center for Complexity in Business at the Robert H. Smith School of Business is the premier meeting to discuss research at the intersection of complex systems and business.  The conference will be a 1.5 day event and will include talks by thought leaders and an audience blend of academics and industry practitioners.
