Comcast Center was full of good cheer as the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business celebrated the commencement of 175 undergraduates, 187 MBA and MS students, 36 EMBA students, and 1 PhD student on Dec. 22, 2011.

The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business welcomed 300 new MS students from around the world on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011. The school currently has four MS programs: accounting, finance, supply chain management (SCM), and information systems (IS) – SCM and IS just launched this year. These new students will join about 180 existing MS students already studying finance and accounting.

This semester, 145 undergraduate students, 129 Master of Business Administration students, 1 Executive Master of Business Administration student, and 5 Doctoral students will be graduating from the Smith School. Bob L. Johnson, the chief service officer for Sprint, will be the commencement speaker. Johnson is a University of Maryland alumnus and the co-chair of the Smith School Advisory Board.
