Smith School Business Summit Addresses Innovation

On March 28, 2014, at the North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Bethesda, Md., students, faculty and business professionals met for the third annual Smith School Business Summit.  This year’s theme looked at innovation as an essential building block for the prosperity and survival of corporations. With more than 600 registered attendants, it was the largest Summit yet.

Smith Offers Blended Part-time MBA in DC

Smith School of Business maintains its ground in the Financial Times’ 2014 Global MBA rankings.  The Smith School is ranked #50 in the world and #26 in the U.S.. The school is ranked #5 worldwide in e-business and #9 worldwide in economics, as rated by MBA 2010 graduates. 

Smith Online MBA Program Starts First Cohort

New students of the Online MBA program at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business were on-site in College Park, Md., last week (Jan. 8-11, 2014) for their residency program.

Smith Commencement Set for Dec. 22

On Sunday, Dec. 22, at Cole Field House on the campus of the University of Maryland at College Park, the class of December 2013 will graduate from the Robert H. Smith School of Business.  This Smith School commencement, starting 1 p.m., involves 180 undergraduates, 450 MBA and MS students, and three PhDs, who will receive their diplomas upon the completion of their degrees.  Commencement speakers include undergraduate Alaina Rothstein and graduate Andy Cooney.
