Enterprise Through Literature Program
The Enterprise Through Literature (ETL) program intellectually stimulates and empowers high school students by introducing them to the guiding ethical philosophies found in literature that underpin enterprise and markets. The program takes a two-pronged approach. Through workshops and online courses approved for continuing education credit by the University of Maryland, ETL works with English teachers to develop curricula that highlight the principles of enterprise and the role of the individual in utopian or dystopian societies. The second facet of ETL is an essay and video contest for students built around literature and curricula developed by ETL teachers. The Ed Snider Center maintains enterpriselit.org to support this program.
