Students at the University of Maryland, College Park, are invited to attend the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) Symposium on International Programs at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. The event takes place on Sept. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.

STARS Transfer Night Welcomes Incoming Transfer Students to the Smith School

On Tuesday, Sept. 7, the Smith School STARS program —Smith Talent Acquisition & Referral System— welcomed newly admitted transfer students to a networking reception designed to introduce them to each other and to corporate partners and alumni who recruit Smith school students, giving students a head start on the process of exploring careers and opportunities in business.

Smith School Board Member Appointed to U.S. Export-Import Bank

The White House recently appointed Smith School Advisory Board member Frank F. Islam to the board of the U.S. Export-Import Bank, the country’s official export-credit agency. He was also named to the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Small and Minority Business, a four-year Department of Commerce appointment.
