UBS Executive Gives Grads Three Leadership Rules

The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is No. 9 in U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of the best online MBA programs for 2018. Smith’s online MBA program also was ninth in the same ranking in 2017. Among subcategories, Smith ranks fourth in student engagement. In addition to this area, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, and admissions selectivity feed the criteria for the ranking.

Smith EMBA No. 10 in Financial Times U.S. Ranking

For the third straight year, the Financial Times ranks the executive MBA program at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business as a top 10 program among U.S. schools. Financial Times editors base their rankings on 16 criteria, including alumni salaries and the percentage of salary increase after graduation. Evaluators also consider faculty qualifications, student work experience, diversity and international focus.

Financial Times Ranks Smith Master of Finance #4 in U.S.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (June 20, 2017) — A new ranking by the Financial Times, released yesterday, recognizes the Master of Finance program at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business as No. 4 in the nation and No. 38 in the world. The Financial Times Global Masters in Finance rankings only includes accredited, full-time, cohort-based programs with a minimum of 30 graduates each year. This is the first time the Smith School participated and was ranked.

Federal Workers, Spouses Get Tuition Discount at UMD Smith School

WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 14, 2017) — Federal employees and their spouses will receive a 30 percent tuition discount when they qualify for select graduate programs at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business through a new agreement with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. The FedGrant reduced tuition rate will apply to students admitted after Jan. 30, 2017, to Smith’s online, executive and part-time MBA programs or to any of the school’s specialty masters programs.
