Financial Times Ranks Smith EMBA #7 in U.S.

The executive MBA program at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business has climbed into the top 10 in the Financial Times annual EMBA rankings. Smith appears at No. 7 among U.S. schools in the 2015 list, up from No. 11 the previous year. Smith also climbed in additional categories from the past year — to No. 11 from No. 15 among U.S. schools with joint programs or international campuses, and to 39th overall in the world, up from 44th.

Smith School Receives $10M Gift from Smith Family

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland announced today a gift of $10 million from the Robert H. Smith Family Foundation to support MBA scholarships, undergraduate leadership programs and facility enhancements for the Robert H. Smith School of Business. The gift will also continue to fund the school's Center for Social Value Creation.

Economist Ranks Smith EMBA Program Among the World’s Best

The executive MBA program at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is ranked 24th in the world by the Economist in its 2015 executive MBA ranking report, released May 14. Among U.S.-only schools, the Smith School is No. 15, and No. 17 among U.S. schools with joint programs or international campuses.

UMD’s Smith School to Serve 90 High School Students

SELF, LEAD Programs Cater to Underrepresented Groups COLLEGE PARK, Md. (March 2, 2015) -- About 90 high school students from underrepresented groups will study entrepreneurship and leadership this summer in two programs at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. Both programs, offered jointly by The Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets and the Smith Undergraduate Office, will introduce participants to college life and potential business careers.

In the largest CEO@Smith event to date, Wes Bush, CEO and president of Northrop Grumman, discussed developing critical technologies of the defense industry and developing great employees and leaders that make those technologies happen. “One of the most important activities of any leader is developing the team of leaders for the future,” he said to the audience of students, faculty and staff in Frank Auditorium. Bush came to the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, on Feb. 3, 2015, as the first speaker in the 2015 CEO @ Smith Speaker Series.

Executive Education Growth Triples Industry Pace at UMD Smith School
