Smith School Community Mourns Loss of Board Member Mike Corvino

The University of Maryland community is mourning the loss of Mike Corvino, president of JanSport and a valued member of the Board of Visitors at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Corvino was killed in a car accident on Saturday, July 14, 2007. As a board member, Corvino was very involved and enthusiastic about his consultative role with the school.

Smith MBAs Travel to Europe and South America to Study Global Economy

Each year, more than a hundred Smith MBA and Executive MBA students travel around the world on short-term study abroad courses. Courses are typically offered between semesters and are comprised of 20-35 students led by a faculty guide. Students meet in College Park prior to departure and the trips typically consist of 10 days abroad.
