Smith Community Council (SCC)
Smith Community Council (SCC)
The Smith Community Council (SCC) is a student-led programming board serving the Smith School, dedicated to enhancing the undergraduate experience. Our mission is to evaluate and improve existing Smith Undergraduate programming, identify gaps, and create new events tailored to specific classes as well as the broader undergraduate community. SCC organizes a variety of pop-up events, coordinates single-day off-campus trips, and works to ensure a diverse range of activities that meet the evolving interests and needs of our students. As the SCC we aim to create memorable experiences and lifelong relationships for all students during their undergraduate journey. Through the development of lasting traditions and meaningful interactions, we are committed to creating a sense of belonging and pride among all Smith students and alumni.
I wanted to join SCC to help establish a tight and united community at Smith. As an internal transfer, I noticed there was a lack of opportunities for everyone at Smith (across all year levels) to get to know each other and I developed a desire to change that.
