Students Share Experiences at Maryland Social Entrepreneur Corps Symposium

The 2014 Maryland Social Entrepreneur Corps (MSEC) wrapped up this month with an evening symposium for students to share their experiences with program partners, sponsors and prospective students. This past summer, fifteen UMD undergraduates traveled to Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Ecuador to support sustainable economic development.

Student teams Show UMD How They ‘Do Good’ at Do Good Challenge Finals

Riggs Alumni Center was full of passion and energy at the third annual Do Good Challenge. Students Helping Honduras and justlikeyou.org were the two winners of the night, each winning $6,000. Students Helping Honduras also won the Audience Choice Award, a $2,500 text-to-vote prize sponsored by the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
